Sean Foldenauer

Sean Foldenauer

Sean M. Foldenauer is a seasoned litigator and trial attorney. Focused on business disputes and serious personal injury matters for over 25 years, Sean has successfully resolved hundreds of cases through litigation, arbitration, mediation and trial, in both state and federal court. His efforts have resulted in some of the largest jury verdicts and settlements in the state.

Sean has been given an “AV” rating from his peers, which means he was deemed as having the highest ethical standards and preeminent legal ability. Only lawyers with the highest ethical standards and professional ability receive a Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating of “AV.” Click to learn more about what our AV Rating means for our clients.

Sean graduated cum laude with his bachelor’s degree from California State University at Northridge in 1993. He went on to earn his law degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 1996, also graduating cum laude. While in law school, Sean served as Lead Articles Editor of the San Diego Justice Journal Law Review, and received many prestigious academic awards and scholarships.

Sean has represented small and medium-sized businesses in a variety of matters – including partnership disputes, limited liability company, and corporate/shareholder litigation, breach of contract actions, fraud, concealment and related business torts. He is passionate about seeking justice for those who have been harmed by the willful acts or negligence of others. His personal injury practice focuses on serious and catastrophic injuries, traumatic orthopedic and brain injuries, and wrongful death, limiting his practice to only a handful of selected cases at any given time. Sean strongly believes his firm provides superior representation and case results by limiting the number of cases it accepts at any given time.

In addition to achieving an AV preeminent rating, Sean has been selected to The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 list in Litigation and Top 10 in Business Torts. The San Diego Business Journal named Sean to its “Best of the Bar 2014”, which recognizes top San Diego attorneys in private practice as selected by their peers. He was also selected as one of “The Most Outstanding in San Diego” among more than 650 attorneys and is featured in a special supplement issue published by the San Diego Business Journal.

Sean is a member of the State Bar of California, San Diego County Bar Association, Association of Business Trial Attorneys, and Consumer Attorneys of San Diego. He is often sought as a speaker and has been privileged to speak at the San Diego County Bar Association, California Western School of Law, and Thomas Jefferson School of Law.

Sean lives in La Mesa, California with his wife raising three children, including two students attending La Mesa Arts Academy and one teenager at Helix Charter High School. In his spare time when he is not in the courtroom, Sean enjoys playing and teaching his children music (guitar, piano, music theory), carpentry, cooking, fitness and nutrition.

Sean remains committed to serving the people in his community and beyond with integrity and professionalism.
